Casa Contaminada!-2005

Last year on July 30, we have the very first show of street art on México City, in an old building called "Espacio de arte: La casa de la esquina" an old building that support alternative and cultural events for underground artists; the particularitity of this event was that 27 of the most talented local artists took part the building with his own and very original artwork, plus the place was taking over with the artwork send it by 41 international artists, thats why we call the event "Casa Contaminada-contaminated house" making reference to all the retractors of the street art and contemporary illustrators with tendences to the streets ...all the artwork pieces was involved in some raffle mechanic to collect founds in benefit of "Fundación Tarahumara José A. LLaguno"-an organization that brings help by means of infraestructure and educational and labour projects for the so abandoned natives of the tarahumaras mountain ranges-...
We want to thank to all those who participate by sending they artworks or simply give us some support, to the dj's, to the local artists, to assitants, because we have so much problems with the sponsors the throw us away, the terrible rain give us a big big scare, and the final result of the event was a cooperative between all the guys that were involved in the project, so, it was a great victory to have made it...sorry about the big big delay with the news...and eternal thanks too, because we bring the opportunity to so much artists to show their work, and also thanks to all the people outside our country that bring us his help to support our so forgotten natives...

Cheers!!
